So..... it is a week of many happenings.
Tomorrow i start school again. I wont be doing lessons, I will be doing "key skills" to "help make the transition from GCSE to A level smoother".... My arse it will. We reckon its going to be all team building and careers talks and whatnot. Basically, all a load of crap. But hopefully it will be fun anyways

At any rate i will find out my new form because that's another thing that might change.
So yeah. Today I confirmed my results. Providing all works out, i should be doing art, french, history and further maths. I talked to the head of y12 and he said that it was going to be a lot of work (which i knew. most people only do 4 subjects, but im doing 5 because further maths counts as 2. its not like art or history are light subjects either) and that i should try it out for a month and then come back to him. if i struggle then i can drop something but if im enjoying it then carry on. but he doesnt want me to get ill with stress

heh, odd thing was, when we went to get the poloshirts we have to wear as our uniform, the person who was selling them recognised my mum, apparently she taught me french when i was in primary school

was really funny. but then she started talking to me in french. and i hardly understood anything. having not done french in about 3 months, and i slept for under 2 hours last night

still, was really odd that

when im a bit more with it i might have someone to talk to in french

my lessons start on thursday... so maybe i'll update sometime then when i find out what's happening. there's still a minor chance i wont get my options...
my sub runs out soon. on saturday i think :-/ 6th sept. hm... will have to make the most of things in the meantime i think. also on 6th, is the opening ceremony of the paralympic games

and my friend is going to be there as part of team GB

woot!! sooooo proud of her

and her friend who i met once

and all of them obviously. but yeah

we're going to have an opening ceremony party i think

so that should be a good way to end the week

her races are on 11th and 13th i think... and 12th and 14th if she gets to the finals. she might not get there though, she's just going for the experience really. hehe

i have almost finished a drawing/painting/thing. i just have to do one more bit. hopefully i'll do that tomorrow when i get home or something. its not amazing but at least i'll have completed *something*. i also went to Castell Coch and St Fagans on the weekend. Castell Coch is a fairytale castle (translation: "red castle"... its not red) near Cardiff. It's pretty accurate although it was actually rebuilt in the 18th century or something like that (cant remember when exactly). I have already uploaded some pictures of the interior. the rest will wait until i have finished the film on the minolta, so that i dont upload duplicates. i'd rather upload the film ones than the digital. st fagans is an open air museum of welsh life. basically, they find old buildings and rebuild them in st fagans and restore them etc. for example, the "celtic cobweb" was shot on the thatched roof of a celtic hut. obviously they didnt find a celtic hut, so they used what they knew to recreate them. they're basically really big mudhuts with thatched roofs that look like cones on top. then there's this church which they found in disrepair somewhere so they took it down brick by brick, and then rebuilt it in St Fagans. so there's loads of buildings there from different periods in welsh history. i didnt take many photos there... but if you're interested in history and museums or whatever and you go to wales its worth looking at

the cheese bread is lush

um... i dont think i have much else to say. wish me luck!
